About Landmark Legends
Corporate team-building adventures that bring your city to life
The Idea
Most team-building activities fall into one of two camps: awkward trust falls in a conference room, or expensive off-site activities that have nothing to do with how your team actually works together. Neither teaches you much about how your colleagues think, solve problems, or communicate under pressure.
Landmark Legends takes a different approach. We're building interactive whodunnit adventures that use real locations as the backdrop for collaborative puzzle-solving. Teams navigate to physical landmarks, uncover visual clues, and piece together a narrative—working against the clock and against each other.
The format encourages natural team dynamics to emerge. Who takes charge? Who notices details others miss? Who keeps everyone focused when time runs short? These are the things that matter when you're back at the office, and they're the things you actually learn about each other when you're racing through the city solving a murder mystery.
What We're Building
Story Adventures
Original whodunnit narratives that unfold as teams progress. Each story is designed to take 2-3 hours and works for groups of 4-20 people split into competing teams.
Location-Based Clues
Visual puzzles anchored to specific landmarks. Teams must physically visit locations to find the details they need—photos, patterns, inscriptions—that unlock the next piece of the story.
Live Progress Tracking
Real-time maps show where teams are and how they're progressing. Organisers can follow along and capture moments, while teams can see how close the competition is getting.
Corporate Tools
Booking and management features for HR teams and event organisers. Schedule sessions, manage participants, and review team performance analytics after the event.
The Approach
Stories That Work Anywhere
The same mystery narrative can be adapted to different cities. A whodunnit set at a Victorian market works just as well in Manchester as it does in Bristol—the landmarks change, but the puzzle mechanics and story remain consistent.
Mobile-First Experience
Everything runs through a mobile app. Teams receive clues, submit answers, and track progress on their phones. No special equipment, no printed materials to lose, and offline mode for areas with poor signal.
Custom Adventures
For companies that want something specific—an adventure that incorporates their office location, references their industry, or includes branded elements—we're building tools to create bespoke experiences.

Current Status
We're in early development, working on the core story engine and mobile experience. Our first adventures will launch in select UK cities, with expansion to follow based on demand.
If you're interested in running a Landmark Legends adventure for your team or event, we'd like to hear from you. Early partners will help shape how the platform develops.
